Santa Tells Everyone About The Angel and the Heavenly Choir

Ho ho ho! Now where did we leave off? Ah yes — the shepherds, out in the cold dark field, minding their sheep, expecting nothing more exciting than another long, quiet night.

And then... suddenly... the sky lit up!

An angel of the Lord appeared right before them, and the glory of the Lord shone all around. The whole field went from pitch black to brilliant, dazzling light in the blink of an eye.

Now, old Santa fancies himself a master of the dramatic entrance. I come down chimneys! I land on rooftops! I appear in the dead of night without a sound! But I'll be honest with you — even I have never lit up an entire sky. The angel had me beat, fair and square.

The shepherds, as you might imagine, were absolutely terrified. And honestly? Who could blame them. One minute you're leaning on your stick, half-asleep, listening to the sheep shuffle about. The next minute the heavens crack wide open and a glowing heavenly being is standing right in front of you. That would wake a fellow up quicker than a bucket of cold water!

But the angel said the most wonderful, comforting words. "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of Bethlehem a Savior has been born to you. He is the Messiah, the Lord. And this will be a sign to you: you will find the baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger."

A manger! A feeding trough. The shepherds must have thought, well now, that's a curious place to find a King. But it was a sign meant just for them. Plain folks, pointed toward a plain little stable. No palace required. No secret password. Just go and look, and you'll find Him.

And then — oh, this is the part that gives Santa chills clear down to his boots — the whole sky filled up. Suddenly the one angel was joined by a great company of the heavenly host, a vast choir of angels, all praising God together and singing, "Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom His favor rests!"

Can you even imagine the sound of that? The grandest concert in all of history. The finest choir ever assembled, voices ringing out across the night sky in perfect harmony. And the only ticket-holders in the entire audience were a handful of stunned shepherds and a flock of very, very confused sheep.

No stage. No lights but the glow of heaven itself. No applause but the wide-open mouths of a few astonished men who would never, ever forget this night for as long as they lived.

That's how heaven announced the greatest gift ever given, my friends. Not with a whisper, but with a song. And the song was about peace, and joy, and good news for everyone.

So this Christmas, lift up your own voice and sing! You're in very good company.

Merry Christmas, everyone! Ho ho ho! https://santaclaus.top/the-angel-and-the-heavenly-choir/
